Our Story

Small Beginnings,
Repeated Together

Nav is a product initiative of Nav Prabhuthi Trust, a Bengaluru-based non-profit that trains young adults with autism and developmental disabilities through hands-on vocational learning.

Our makers learn block printing, sewing, and cross-stitch — and from that learning, real products emerge. Products you’d want on your table. Each one made with care, patience, and the quiet confidence of practice.

The name Nav means “new” in Hindi. It signals beginnings, potential, and forward motion.

At Nav, programmes and products are two sides of the same purpose. The vocational training builds skill, confidence, and independence; the products that emerge from that training carry those qualities into the world.

Meet the Makers

Every Nav product carries the rhythm of the person who made it. These are some of the hands behind the work.

Akhilesh

Block Printing

Akhilesh, 26, learns best through demonstration and thrives in structured, repetitive work. After completing training in block printing, sewing, and data entry, he is now training to become a master block-printing trainer at Nav.

Indira

Block Printing & Teaching

Indira trained in block printing and now teaches others. She joined Nav during the pandemic when her family lost income and has completed a marketing programme. She is also a parent of a young adult with autism at Nav.

Making a table runner is skilled work. It is not a miracle.
